Thanks for the hint. I experimented a bit with the xinput command and
found settings which worked. Now i could rotate the screen and correct
the touchscreen input to match it. Only strange thing is that xrandr -o
left and xrandr -o right always rotate to the same direction. Also the
cursor is a little bit lower than i tap on the screen. But i can live
with that for the moment. :)
xrandr -o normal/inverted
xinput set-prop 8 "Evdev Axes Swap" 1
xinput set-prop 8 "Evdev Axis Inversion" 0, 0
xrandr -o left/right
xinput set-prop 8 "Evdev Axes Swap" 0
xinput set-prop 8 "Evdev Axis Inversion" 0, 1
Sometimes screen rotation produces a WSOD which is fixable by suspending
and resuming (via ssh) or rebooting.
