9 char including non-alphanumeric and shifted. passwd was quite happy with it while the wizard just sits there after the 'Finish' button is pressed, with no indication of what's gone wrong. Another problem with it is that you only enter it once, and you can't see what you've entered. Given the small keys on the terminal keyboard the chance of mistyping and finding yourself locked out of your own system is rather too high for my liking.
