I did: r...@freerunner ~ # rm /var/lib/opkg/* rm: /var/lib/opkg/tmp: is a directory r...@freerunner ~ # opkg update and after that I was finally able to install libncurses5 (and it did not find ncurses as the better alternative/replacer(?)).
