try this http://www.opkg.org/package_295.html
I haven't tried it yet, but it should work...
(please feedback)

and then what?

r...@om-gta02 ~ # opkg files openbmap-locator
Package openbmap-locator (0.1.1) is installed on root and has the following
files:
/usr/bin/openbmap-locator
/etc/dbus-1/system.d/openbmap-locator.conf
/etc/init.d/openbmap-locator

if i try to run openbmap-locator manually is segfaults. if it run
/etc/init.d/openbmap-locator start
it looks like it started, but i can't see it in ps, so i guess that segfaulted
as well.

i guess it needs either a network connection, or for you to get the data files,
and put them in the correct place, but there is no documentation.

also i am not sure if it hooks into the existing location finding software, or
just offers another interface for something like tangogps to query.
