Unfortunately any movement of the cursor on the address string inside teh
url form doesn't cause the two buttons to appear again. Nor the arrows the
browser itself are available at that time, therefore the screen can't
scroll

How about moving the cursor back to the beginning of the url
("cursor-left ..." or simply "home")? My ventura is currently unusable
so I cannot verify.
