I've reinstalled shr-u today (full, of 29th sept), and I've got this problem again; running shr_elm_softkey from terminal has solved the problem, but at every reboot i need to run it again. Is this supposed to be executed by a script (which?) at every boot? Is this still an issue or should it be solved in the latest releases?
Thanks

There shouldn't be a timing problem in the newest version anymore.
When the softkey is stuck, try:

killall shr_elm_softkey ; shr_elm_softkey &
