Hi, I have been out of the look for quite a while with Openmoko. But very soon I will upgrade my phone again, which would free up my G1 (HTC Drea) up for hacking. In the wiki I can there was some success with SHR on that. http://wiki.openmoko.org/wiki/Openmoko_on_HTC-Dream
I guess what I would like to ask you is. Is this a platform what is fun to use yet? Is other hardware maybe more adequate? I don't want to do hardware hacking or driver hacking. It should be nicely supported and ideally easy to upgrade. I have a Neo 1973 (GTA01) here, which is definitely not adequate to run anything that is fun. Performance and battery life are just not up to it. Freerunner would be better in that regard, but I suppose if they work well, those fairly recent android phones are even better, right?
