People,
I have had a FR for some time but after the initial experimentations
with lots of different images, it lapsed into disuse when it looked like
Openmoko didn't have a future. More recently, I thought I would make
better use of the device and was pleasantly surprised to find the state
of the current versions of SHR! Very nice and slick and good work to
all those responsible!
Now that I have thought of a few real-life uses (as opposed to techy
fun/play uses) for my FR, I have a number of questions but they are
going to be mostly about the applications and I am not sure if it is
appropriate to ask those questions here - maybe I should be contacting
the authors of the apps? Anyway the first one is about TangoGPS: when I
walk around with this app running, the red line marking my route jumps
all over the place and even when it doesn't do that, the line is off the
actual road that I am walking on. Is this a known problem? Is there
some fix/way around the problem?
