The problem they are speaking about in that page was that using boot with  
kernel 2.6.32 or newer, GPS didn't survived a suspend.
GPS worked OK until you suspended the phone. You had to reboot for GPS to 
activate again. That bug is solved, BTW [1]

But AFAIK, I/O errors on SD card with kernel > 2.6.32 are not solved, and has 
nothing to to with using uboot or Qi.
