Hi Jakob,

I guess my problem runs deeper, as I can not receive any SMS messages from my
carrier (T-mobile).
The bug report you mentioned, indicates that SMS message import is not
supported
yet.

I also tried some googled stuff and usually people try to use mdbus2 such as:

mdbus2 -s org.freesmartphone.ogsmd
/org/freesmartphone/GSM/Device org.freesmartphone.GSM.SIM.RetrieveMessage $MNUM

but first the method 'org.freesmartphone.GSM.SIM.RetrieveMessage' does not
exist
any more and seems to have been
replaced by 'org.freesmartphone.GSM.SMS.RetrieveTextMessages'. When I try that
method, mdbus2 either hangs or segfaults:

r...@om-gta02 ~ # mdbus2 -s org.freesmartphone.ogsmd
/org/freesmartphone/GSM/Device org.freesmartphone.GSM.SMS.RetrieveTextMessages

type unknown not a basic type
type unknown not a basic type

type unknown not a basic type
Segmentation fault

Best

Stefan

Hi Stefan,

shr doesn't support the simcard as a messages storage anymore.
Opimd only uses a sqlite database.
pisi is probably able to import them.
There is also a bugreport http://shr-project.org/trac/ticket/927 about
importing messages from simcard.

Regards
Jake
