I've followed what you've said, and then:
# opkg install shr-splash-theme-logo --force-reinstall
Removing package shr-splash-theme-logo from root...
update-alternatives: removing //usr/share/shr-splash/theme as no more
alternatives exist for it
Installing shr-splash-theme-logo
(0.1+gitr224+cb1391fc4afec7158e34629ea557c6ea486cfc05-r7.1.6) to root...
Downloading

Then I've rm /usr/share/shr-splash/theme and done opkg install
shr-splash-theme-logo --force-reinstall;
now it's working again
