hi list, preface: my only requirement to the freerunner is to let is play some stupid mp3 files.
after 1/2 year waiting i tryed to make my moko freunner usable (i thought after this time the peoples out there should make it better working). i saw this annoucements about shr testing 2010.11 or so, so i startet flashing brand new testing stuff. first i tried testing, but after flashing stuff, the rootfs (jffs/ubifs) could not be bootet (only the tar.gz from sd) so on, i tried unstable, successfull booting from nand, but only with jffs. ubi said "ubi_read_volume_table: the layout volume was not found" (as on testing). ok, let's try unstable. but the usage is horrible. response is still bad, the "wizard" first time had not recognized the fso stuff. the start of any prog by pressing the corresponding icon requiers double tap on the screen, and, yeah, it starts twice, no single start of progs, great... this follows by not usable wifi connection handling foo. the wifimanager endless tries to connect to my network, bad usability. so lets kill it, oh no, no way to get the " < x > " shelf widget to switch or kill apps. bad thing. i have to reboot? i remembered, after first time init (with wizard) i had this widget, now after reboot, its gone. lets connect the moko via usb, put the music stuff on it this way. this nice story ends with: the mp3 are playable, but not unpausable after pause... unusable. i ask you: is testing better on this things? if so, please tell me how i get it working.
