I wrote something a few weeks ago on the openmoko community list about the mlx90614 infrared temperature sensor. The thread subject is "It's not a camera". The device also reports temperatures in tenths of a degree C, so it is easy to work with. The latest version of my ski wax program (jeepingben.homelinux.net/wax) supports the mlx90614. I also tried using the bmp085 barometer/thermometer, but heat sources inside the FR case were throwing off the readings.

Hi,

I am interested in measuring temperature with my Freerunner; on a first
glance I only found (with actual testing rc3)
/sys/devices/platform/s3c2440-i2c/i2c-0/0-0073/hdq/bq27000-battery.0/power_supply/battery/temp
which probably is not much exposed to environment and might heavily
depend on charging etc.

Are there more temperature sensors?

Can please someone explain the battery temp value (it is an int around
300, but not Kelvin, and even not 0.25K as described in the bq27000 data
sheet)?

Thanks
Gerhard
