i've patched the e-wm package in shr-testing2011.1 yesterday, so that it shows
some debug output in the e_startup() function which does the autostart stuff
in E:

So it would be nice if you can upgrade your e-wm to the lastest version and
send the /var/log/Xsession.log to the ML if the problem occurs the next time.
I don't know if the lines i've added are usefull but trying this is better
then waiting for the E guys.
The printf("e_startup() starting: %s\n", desktop); won't print anything
usefull, because desktop isn't a string (i've seen this too late), but we can
see that something was started :)
