I think you're right; the entry in /var/lib/opkg/shr-armv4t (on the phone) says

Package: alsa-utils-alsamixer
Version: 1.0.24.2-r1.6
Depends: libformw5 (>= 5.7+20110115), libmenuw (>= 5.7+20110115), ...

But in my SHR-U build tree, inside
tmp/deploy/ipk/armv4t/alsa-utils-alsamixer_1.0.24.2-r1.6_armv4t.ipk:

Package: alsa-utils-alsamixer
Version: 1.0.24.2-r1.6
...
Depends: libformw5 (>= 5.7+20110115), libmenuw5 (>= 5.7+20110115), ...

Does it mean that someone missed incrementing the recipe's release
number?

It looks like the dependency is correct (libmenuw5) in OE git, but
somehow still wrong (libmenuw) in the feeds.
