I've found in the http://wiki.openmoko.org/wiki/SHR_User_Manual#SIM_Contacts the info that SHR phone apps do not read SIM contacts. (Although from friendliness perspective since that dont happen automatically should change , since the 'working icon....' never ending in contacts does gives user a hint about what is happening.
Unfortunately even from SHR Settings -> Others -> SIM Manager i cant import contacts getting the error message 'Import failed' . Either for the one with greek characters or without greek chars.
