Hi,

I'm new to shr and curious about it. So I stumbled over htcdream and wonder how
well it is and will be supported.

http://www.shr-project.org/trac/wiki/Devices says it's officially supported.
Good.
http://shr.bearstech.com/shr-unstable/images/ file date is the same as for all
other images. Good.

Then I was curious about camera support.
http://wiki.freesmartphone.org/index.php/HardwareComparison says it does not
work.
Then http://htc-linux.org/wiki/index.php?title=Dream#Core_Status says "we have
a [camera] driver but it makes some oops".
And
https://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/linux-stable.git;a=commit;h=3414df8ca38b203c8a5ad8efc32d4a3836a0596d
says the whole htcdream staging driver has been removed from kernel (Last
kernel is 2.6.36.x).

So what is the status of the htcdream support? Is there still some active
development for this old hardware or will it be orphaned in the foreseeable
future? Will the dropped kernel support stop its development? Or does the
limited amount of ram in the htcdream kill all fun with the device before that?

Are there any usability issues with the htcdream, like ringing after accepting
a call?

Bye,
Jerry
