Hi Matthias, eStarDict for now supports only the more popular formats http://www.vaudano.eu/wiki/en/development#estarDict_engine
For your case idx file is OK but the dict file should be dict.dz (so you should gzip it) (this is the usual combination how the dictionaries are delivered) Let me know if, in this way, it works.
