Hey all,
I recently got a Neo Freerunner to use as a car/handheld gps. I've been
able to get a GPS lock with the device using QTmoko and NeronGPS but
switched to SHR for better integration with Navit.
Problem is, I've never been able to get a GPS lock using either Navit or
Foxtrotgps even with an hour of walking outside on a clear day.
The SHR I used was shr-image-om-gta02-20120427172818.rootfs.jffs2 with
Kernel uImage-2.6.39-r11-om-gta02-20120423071833.bin
The Navit I installed was using the nightly builds opkg. navit -v: navit
0.5.0 Unversioned directory with download from here
http://download.navit-project.org/navit/openmoko/svn/
Any advice? Do I have to much with fso-gpsd? According to Navit from
terminal, it's "connected" to the GPSD daemon. Unfortunately even the
Settings -> Position app doesn't give me any GPS data after an hour
outside either.
