Hello everyone! I have a good general knowledge about IT however I'm kind of a beginner in the world of Linux. And pretty much things aren't the way (or not working) in SHR like in the "usual" Linux distributions. I had an old (2 years) SHR version running on my Neo. I'm using a Nokia BL-5C battery. I managed to configure the Neo to serve my expactation. About a week ago I decided to try out the new core version. I spent a lot of hours searching on the net to achieve the state what I had on the old SHR. But unfortunately I have unanswered questions and a problem too, so I need some help.
Just to be sure, the "gta01_battery" is replaced by the "platform_battery", am I right? If I'm not wrong the "export http_proxy" option makes the Internet available only for the shell prompt. I set up the "http_proxy" (permanent) correctly, wget, opkg is working. My question is that can I access the Internet through the proxy with USB Networking in GUI? For the example can I use the Eve browser? Is there a setting for proxy in GUI? To find out the "new" settings (for me), I tried a lot of things and maybe the system is not working as expected. However before I will reflash the Neo again, I would try to find out what could be the problem. When using the "platform_battery", I boot up the phone and set auto-dimming, auto-suspend to forbid, after aprox. 5-6 min. the phone freezes (Aux blinking) and I have to remove the battery from the Neo. In this 5-6 min the phone is "idle", I'm not doing anything on it! If I use the standard "bq27000-battery" when I play with the "Numpty Physics" after some time the application simply closes without any notification, however this time the Neo is still working. Can I somehow find out what could be behind of these problems? I couldn't find any usable info with dmesg or in the logs (/var/log). Maybe it's not the battery kernel module what is causing the problem, I don't know. And the last question: sometimes even when I shutdown the Neo normally, the next time it will start in emergency mode with "Dependency failed. Aborted start of /media/card", "JFFS2 notice: (385) check_node_data: wrong data CRC in data node at 0x08132a28". This means Neo FS corruption or SD Card corruption? I thought would ask these before reflash to large my knowledge. Also it can happen that after the reflash I will have some of this issues too. :( Thank for your help in advance! Greetings, Attila.
