recent versions work well after disabling gpsd.service& socket by removing the

to /lib/systemd/system/gpsd.socket in /etc/systemd/system/sockets.target.wants/
(this frees the gpsd port to be used by fsogpsd) and editing
/lib/systemd/system/gpsd.service to not be started (wanted for) in any target.
Thanks! I confirm that foxtrotgps works on latest SHR-Core image after
doing above procedure and then rebooting.
I wonder why this is not the default config on SHR-Core ...
