It looks like SHR is getting ready to switch to a newer kernel for GTA04 (yay!!). I found something this weekend that will need to be fixed if the new kernel contains camera support.

Emotion (part of EFL) does a scan for webcams at startup. There is something wrong with the scan so for each pad on omap3isp (the camera interface) it does a probe, determines that it is not a webcam, but holds onto the module anyway.

This causes increased power consumption, an audible hum during phone calls, and prevents rmmod of camera modules.

I haven't figured out what is wrong with the scan, I disabled it using #undef HAVE_V4L2. This may be good enough for SHR, or maybe an E developer will see this?

I mentioned this on #e. I got a little help trying to fix my problem, but no responses after I found the source of the issue.
