Hello Ulrich,
       I'm not very sure about the unit of the spin density. I guess
it should be e/ang**3 for the isovalue. Where can I find the units
(note that I use the angstrom as the unit of length ).
       Besides, in my  Tungsten disulphide calculation results , the
output of Mullikan charges of spinup and spindown show to 2 decimal
places. While when draw the isosurface of the spin difference, the
xcrysden show the difference to 7 decimal place(the the maximum of
mullikan difference is about 0.006, the .XSF file is  got by rhoxsf.f
). Does such spin difference have physical meaning?
