I've reduced the memory allocated for SIESTA (I'm running under
CYGWIN) and relaunched a smaller system, and denchar is behaving fine.
CONCLUSION: Memory issue. I'm executing under eclipse to check for
memory leaks, but I suspect now it's a cygwin issue.
