I'm gonna have to step in here for the Waller guys. Over the last few months
I have been in close contact with one of the head guys .. Dave Reimer, and
I have worked with him on this problem.

I've hooked up this stuff before, and it isn't rocket science. Which is why
this is so strange. There are several componants to a connection.
A router/csu/dsu on one end, the line, another router/csu/dsu on the other
end.

Nothing to it, right? Well when they started experiancing these problems,
they switched out EVERY piece of hardware in the loop. They took the hardware
to other sites, plugged it in there, and the hardware worked perfectly.
They've had numerous network consultants come out and try to diagnose their
problems ... time warner people, swbt people, contractors, etc, etc. And all
have left shaking their heads saying 'it should work fine'.

I only stick up for them in this matter because I being a person who has been
in this type of situation before, I understand their frustration. Other than
these minute pauses, the rest of the service works perfectly. And even at
25 dollars a month, I can live with some slight pauses. If you don't like it,
you should just cancel your service and go back to a modem connection. I
guarentee you won't have any pauses.

They have wired the University Towers, the rich kids answer to dorm-apartments
on 26th.
