You can use it to take a snapshot of your system and builds a database of
that snapshot. It will compare the the files to the snapshot every 24
hours and notify root of any changes.
My tripwire executible, database file, and config file all sit on a
write-protected 5.25" floppy which I have mounted. With that, you can
still get a lot of use from old hardware. ;-)
