It seemed to me that it can open many Office 9x formats, but can't save in any
of them. At least that's the way it was for the presentation software. (I've
only been using it for 1 day, please don't flame me for lack of experience with
it). If it has it's own window manager, I may just setup a Linux box whose sole
purpose is to run SO.
I'm not sure if this has anything to do with gnome stuff, but I noticed that
when trying to copy/paste from a Word '97 document to a StarImpress
presentation, the SO process would creep it's way up to around 98% of the CPU,
eventually it would kill the system (I had to do a hard reboot...=<). If I
wasn't watching for it, I would have had to do it twice, but I noticed response
times increasing and watched it grow from 45% of the cpu to 64% of the cpu in
about a minute before I killed it.
