mark was having a similar problem with his machine...are you sure youre
playing wavs in 16bit form? or 16bit wavs? or whatever? i guess that
youre right about dma (change it in /etc/conf.modules and see if things
work better, or try diffrent values for dma (16bit) in the sndconfig prog.)
