Hi everyone...
I announced to this list a while back that we were stealthfully building a
Linux server as a web server for my dept. at the City of Austin.
Well we got RH5.2 and finally were able to grab a machine.
I'm going to be developing using perl/DBD::Oracle (the installation of this
is going smoothly so far) and Java. I just assumed that java and javac
would be there like on UT/CS machines (I'm pretty sure that it's these
Linux boxes I've used this on). But I can't find anything resembling java
except in the Netscape directories and some directory related to vim
formatting.
Do I need to get the jdk that blackdown has? If I install the jdk is it
going to screw things up with CLASSPATH similar to the discussion that has
been goin on here?
