i have nis working perfectly on at least 25 machines...with AIX NIS
server. undr rh5.2 i do not experience the problem youre having,
patrick...i'll be happy to work with you on seeing where our setups
differ on monday.
nis+ server has been in devel for many moons and has been functional
for quite a while. im on the nis+ devel list and the guy doing the
server is a real badass...
if you want more info on that tell me and i can dig it up. im
(very thankfully) not using nis at any of my sites and was only forced
to learn it for a consulting job. which paid too well to turn down =)
