agreed. since you sound so gung-ho, i'm sure omar would delegate matters
of promotion to you, should you desire? he's been awful quiet lately, so
i'm saying something so this golden opportunity doesn't slip thru the cracks =)
tom, are you interested in doing it, to whatever extent you find possible
and think useful? i think i can speak for omar when i say we could use a
hand...
(and this goes for other folks too--i'd really like to see us doing more
stuff this semester...stuff qualifies as anything from shoot-the-bull meetings
to projects like the one tom suggested to gamefests to the "linux vs NT
bulletproof-p fest" that mark suggested [i'll probably organize that one
myself..], to field trips, if folks are interested. basically, if you know
something really well and want to talk about it to other interested people,
or have a burning curiosity about something linux-related, tell us and we'll
either schedule you a room and some refreshments or try to arrange an info-
session if it's plausable! a personal goal of mine for the organization is
to become more useful this semester...i've got some spare motivation this
round.)
so, speak up if you want to help out (we could even use things as
simple as folks to find interesting, up-to-date links for our web page,
which, erm, isn't the most useful sig web page i've seen, altho it's
one of the better looking ones =). this is nobody's fault but my own
because i haven't really touched it since i inherited it from the guy
who founded siglinux (hi, conor =)))
