I've tried a bunch, and I've foudn Licq to be the best all around.
All the ones based off of micq (gtkicq, and a bunch of others)
have some really crippling bugs. but Licq, has very few.
Its Qt based though, which bugged me at first but I got
over that when it actually worked as it was supposed to, and
had many more features.
