hi guys.
i'm having kind of an annoying problem. i'm compiling stuff out of
the gnome cvs tree and getting some errors i can't make sense of.
i compiled ORBit, gnome-libs, etc, in the proper order, i don't think
my problem is failed dependencies. after successfully configuring
and compiling gmc, and running it i get this error:
gmc: error in loading shared libraries
/usr/local/lib/libgnome.so.32: undefined symbol: esd_sample_getid
great, so i skip on over to /usr/local/lib and :
nm libgnome.so.32 | grep esd
and i get the following:
U esd_sample_getid
so the god damn symbol is in there but for some reason gmc isn't
finding it? i've had this problem before with libjpeg and a few
others, what's going on here?
