Yeah my logs also showed scans from [EMAIL PROTECTED] and an ipass 
dialup around the same time. It didn't seem to be a complete port scan - just 
imap,pop-3, telnet,ftp, domain,sunrpc,http,smtp and domain.  Of course it didn't
do them any good since I have configured tcpd to do an ident and finger query, 
display a banner, and drop the connection. Also a bark sound plays whenever
a connection is attempted from an unauthorized host :) Anyways I think these
scans are mostly harmless as long as you have disabled unecessary services, 
set up tcp_wrappers, and are not running old versions of imapd, bind, etc.
