WHEN: Monday, Sept. 21, 7:00PM
WHERE: Taylor Hall at UT, Room 2.106.
WHAT: It's our first UT ACM SIGLinux meeting of the year.
This meeting is a joint one with CTLUG(Central Texas
Linux Users Group). We will discuss plans for events this year.

I need people to show up to place orders for t-shirts(priced
real
well), and get general numbers for other things I will be buying

for our meetings, so that way you can all get free stuff when we

have it. So in general be there or you'll screw up the numbers.

Also, I need to see what levels of users we have and what we
all want to have for topics and speakers, as well as planned
events. If you want to help make the SIG lively this year
COME to the FIRST meeting on the 21st.

Besides that we already have a guest speaker Chip Rosenthal.

"Mr. Rosenthal is one of the leaders in the fight against
unsolicited commercial email - a.k.a. spam - on
the Internet and has worked closely with Paul Vixie - the
developer of the Mail Abuse Protection System, the MAPS
Transport Security Initiative and the MAPS Realtime Blackhole
List (RBL). Every mail administrator on the Internet has by
now at least heard of the the RBL, and the MAPS Transport
Security Initiative has been a leading influence in the move
toward shutting down promiscuous SMTP relaying on the Internet.

This should be a very good meeting! Chip Rosenthal talked to
the members of the Capitol Area Central Texas UNIX Society last
fall, and in my humble opinion, it was one of the most
interesting meetings of the year, and CACTUS generally has very
interesting meetings." --Lindsey Haisley from the
                                                   CTLUG announcement

If you're an experienced system administrator trying to get a
spam problem under control or just an individual who's fed up
with all the junk in your in-box, you'll find this to be one of
the most worthwhile meetings to attend.
