OK, I just wasted another half hour of my life talking to Dell.

The bottom line is that DELL *will NOT* refund your money for the MS
Software they ship with their systems.  If you don't like the licensing
policy, you can feel free to return the ENTIRE SYSTEM within 30 days of
receiving it, but this is the only option, regardless of what the
Microsoft licensing agreement states.  At least one Dell representative
invited me to take up the issue with Microsoft's legal department.  I
will leave this option for someone who has a lot of time on their hands.
