When I try to login my linux system it says:

The system is going down on Thu Feb 18 01:51:00 1999

Login incorrect

And if the user is not root, it goes back to the login prompt.
The system's date is correct.

The only thing unusual that I did before this occured was
that I had another machine telnet into this machine. And I had
this machine mounted to the other machine's hard drives.
I executed /sbin/shutdown -h -t 1min

Before I had always shutdown with a time of now, and this is
the first time I mounted my other machine's harddrive.

First of all, did I do something incorrectly. Do I need
to explicidly umount before I shutdown. Any suggestions on
how to fix the problem, or what to look at. Thanks.
