Ok. It's quite possible I'm missing something completely obvious. :)
I just bought several new computer toys, one of which is a
TV/radio tuner. Anyhow, I'm trying to get it to work under
Linux. Linux recognizes it, and everything is almost cool. I need to
make the /dev/videoXX and /dev/radioXX devices, though. While the
draft API specification states the minor numbers for the devices,
major numbers aren't given.
I've never made devices before; does anyone know the major numbers?
Also, my shell scripting isn't very hot, how can I create a loop which
will make several devices at once? Say, 8 of each.
