i don't still have the mail from the OTS people that i got, but this
has been going on for at least a month. the machine is used for some
sort of "network population" scanning and it does all kinds of things
(at least it did to some of my machines at work---tried logging in after
telnetting, etc). william green, the man on high, said it was an author-
ized activity. anyway, it seems to happen to all machines on UTnet, then.
