Faisal,
I'm telling you this as a native english speaker.

Looking ignorant when you critize someone is not the way to effectively
communicate a good suggestion.

And due to the fact that this person actually WANTS TO LEARN, I think your
comment was unnecessary, uncalled for, and reflective of your ignorance.

Anyone who wants to learn has more credit in my book than someone who wants
to flame them for wanting to learn. You could have taken the 30 seconds it
took to post this stupid message and given Sachin a pointer to good web
pages, tutorials and books that you found helpful when you were 'not as
knowledgable' (if you have graduated from that state by now).

Anyhow, to not make this a total waste like your post: Sachin, here's some
of my suggestions :

I would search the web for unix tutorials ... I know there are quite a few
out there. Most people I have known that wanted to learn unix have installed
linux and trudged through learning it. I personally find that diving in head
first is a good way to learn something .. especially when you're determined
to do it.

A good thing about learning linux is that it's a system V and BSD hybrid,
so once you feel comfortable with it, transferring your knowledge to Solaris
or FreeBSD or whatever else you need to run is not that much of a challenge.

I know this isn't too terribly specific, but if you'd like me to post some
good urls I can do some research at work tomorrow and come up with some
suggestions.

Aaron
