A friend was in Chipsmart when someone was returning memory (saying that it
was bad). Soon after another person walked up and asked that Chipsmart
employee for memory and that employee handed that person (I know you know
what's coming here) the same memory which had just been returned.

Also, I took a monitor to J&J to have them check it out. I called them in
a couple of weeks (since I hadn't heard from them) and was told that they
had had no problem with it, and they would leave it up (to continue waiting
to see if the problem repeated itself) for a couple of months. (O.K.,
O.K., what do *I* know about monitor-problem procedures? I thought they
were just being thorough.) After a couple of months, they called me and
told me I needed to come pick it up, sounding like I had abandoned it.
When I went in the next day or so it was gone and they denied they had ever
said they would leave it hooked up for 2 months; they said they never
worked with monitors like that. BTW, they have signs up in their place
saying that they are not responsible for monitors left there over...1
month. :-P
