Just FYI,
Yesterday I finally had some time to toy with my new K62-333. I
successfully overclocked it STABLE at 450Mhz. It ran ok at 475 also, but
things like quake3 would exit with signal 11. I used a standard
heatsink/fan combo, with thermal compound, and an extra fan on the front
of the case to suck away hot air. Not bad for a $85 chip.
I also installed kernel 2.2.7 which is supposed to have support
for MTRRs in the K62/3 families.. but no dice. Has anyone had success
with this?
