I cannot figure out why I'm getting a "network unreachable". I have a
few ideas but...

I upgraded my kernel (and everything else including dhcpcd). Now, I
can't even ping my nameserver without getting the error message. I
don't know if it's pertinent but BEFORE the upgrade my loopback device
was listed first when I did "ifconfig" and eth0 was second. Now their
order is reversed. I did a "route -n" and niether were the gateway..
could that be it?

Unfortunately I don't know much about how the networking works because
of the stupid RH "We'll do everything for you" scripts which work great
until something dies. I've looked through the Net-3-HOWTO but I'm
having a lot of trouble. And I think the network scripts should do all
this stuff for me. I looked at the scripts and they have the right
commands (ie ifconfig, route add, ...) but I really don't want to debug
them if I am just being stupid and forgetting something.

If someone could just point me in the right direction... I'd really like
to learn all about it... I just don't know where to start. Thanks in
advance.
