Eric,
If you let me know when you're free. I would be
happy to have a:
(c) a Geeks With Guns event.
at my bookstore.
We could invite all the members of the UT sig-LINUX,
the Austin LUG, and the Central Texas LUG.
Everyone's on the net, so getting the word out would be
very easy.
I can supply an open bar, and hors d'oevres. I can also
contact the media.
My bookstore comfortably handles 100+ geeks at a time.
I'm not looking to make any money off this, but just to
have some fun with some fellow geeks.
We could co-sponsor the event with any of the LUGs who
would want to participate -- and who wouldn't want to??
The local talk radio station (KJFK) would also probably want
to be involved, and the host of the Sunday computer show
(CAFEZAM) would probably want to do an interview - if
you have time.
If you need references about me feel free to contact the
following geeks...
Chris McCraw - UTexas ACM - christ <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Omar El-Domeiri - UT sigLinux<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Probably the best thing would be if you told me when
you're free, and I can go ahead and set aside that time.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
