I think you should put "ppp-on", "ppp-on-dialer" and "ppp-off" all in
/usr/sbin directory and change the attributes to make them excutable
and then run "ppp-on" or "ppp-off" as root. If it still could not find,
you can try to run "/usr/sbin/ppp-on" directly. Make sure you /dev/modem
points to the right serial port of your modem (I think you are fine since
you can get minicom running ...)
