Hello all. I have been happily zooming alone on my 10mbps ethernet
apartment connection until I had to trade NICs with my grandpa. I used
to have a 3c905, and now I have an NE2000 Plus. I know the card works
and all, but I need to update the EEPROM on it to reflect
non-conflicting Base, IRQ, tranceiver type, etc. There are no jumpers
on there, and I don't THINK the card is PnP, so I'm pretty sure that the
IRQ, Base etc info is stored on the EEPROM. In fact, I vaguely remember
the person I acquired this card from having such a DOS disk that would
update it. I've been all over the web and can't seem to find it. In
fact, I expected to find drivers as easily on www.novell.com as I had on
www.3com.com. No such luck....I couldn't even find any DRIVERS for
Novell/Anthem NICs. Can somebody PLEASE recommend a resource, or point
me in the direction of somewhere that could help me find this piece of
software.
Sorry for the semi-topical post, but this one is REALLY pissing me off.
Thanks,
George Winn
