I've tried mucking with my XF86Config file and XF86Setup for a while
now, and I can't seem to get Xwindows at 1280x1024 at a decent refresh
rate. I'm getting like 67 Hz or so. The monitor book says that it
should do 85 Hz at that resolution. My eyes are bugging out of my head
compared to the comfort I get with my 100Hz at the same resolution in
NT. Is there a good URL out there with information on figuring out how
to optimize your XF86Config file to support the highest refresh rates
possible? I should have all of the necessary specs on my monitor and
card, and entered the horizontal and vertical frequencies that my
monitor supports. It is as if X doesn't believe that I have a bad@$$
19" monitor ;) (Hitachi SuperScan Elite 751 - highly recommended)
Thanks in advance,
George Winn
