There was a tool that could accomplish this, forgot what the name was,
but do remember being warned that it was rather dangerous.
In future when you're creating a new ext2 filesystem, try using -m 0
(or 1-100) to control how much space is reserved.
Slack setup reserves 10% by default, I think?
