i was reading some intel papers, and as i understand it, the p6 architecture
(p-pro, p2, and now p3) is the 6th generation. however, intel seems to have
a "supercharged" xeon version corresponding to each chip (p2 and p3 anyway)
which it targets at NT and linux. what are the technical differences, and
why does xeon support multi processing better?

thanks,
GT

PS - what's the lowest you've seen the AMD k6-3 400 or highest boxed cpu
with 3 year warranty and fan? this temporary p5-100 is starting to drive me
nuts!!
