All right. Again, I'm a very slow person. :)
Several months ago I posted some computer upgrading questions to this
list. I've since bought a case and an ABIT BX6 V2.0 board. I'm now
looking at Pentium III's.
I'm looking at the PIII 500's listed at
http://216.74.5.24/cpus.html. Basically, I'm not sure which one to
get. I've eliminated the one with retail packaging for $276, I really
don't care for that.
So, I need to decide between the one with the fan, or the OEM version
with only the tray. My case seems to have a fan inside, but will I
need another fan for the PIII? Also, I'm planning to buy a 27 gig
drive, and I was also told that I'd need another fan to cool this
one. Basically, I'm curious about this. Are there fans specific to
different types of hardware? Until today I thought that there were
only the case fans for cooling everything.
So, should I be looking for other fans? Should I purchase the PIII
with the fan or without? And, if I should be looking for a fan to cool
the 27 gig drive, what, specifically, should I look for?
